Key Facts

  • Fitting

Not all window reveals are square, so we may need to use decorators caulk or trim or carry out a small degree of planing to the wood shutter frame to ensure shutters fit 100% level.

  • Changes to decor

There may be obstructions like skirting boards or dado rails which will need to be altered to allow the shutters to be fitted.

  • Light gaps

Shutters are not (as standard) a blackout product and there may be small light gaps around the shutters, especially with three - sided frame installations.

If you require a blackout option please let us know.

  • Inward opening windows

Inward opening windows require special consideration, as we can not restrict functionality after shutters have been installed.

Frame options are available for most inward opening windows to overcome these challenges.

  • Removing obstructions

Items that may restrict the shutter fitting should be removed prior to installation (e.g. BT boxes, alarm boxes, curtains & pelmets).

Also large furniture will need to be moved for the installation.

  • Changes to the window area

No changes can be made to the window reveals after the deposit has been paid, which could result in the shutters not fitting. Such as replacing window cills or tiling window reveals.

  • Changes to the shutter requirements

No changes can be made to the order after the deposit has been paid due to the bespoke nature of the shutters.
